This list really shows the impact of the Web clearly. It's easy to forget how lucky we are to have the whole corpus of their work, or nearly so, at our fingertips. Collecting shows 25 years ago must have been like trying to find your way around in the dark.

If you want to go back 25 years, I think you have to look at not just the fact of "no shows on the archive" but just as important then was the lack of information dissemination. If you lived in an area where the Grateful Dead did not tour often say Alabama, Tennessee, or Miss.(only once), you had to WORK to get information about the band, touring, etc. You did not have a large community like this forum where you could rap back and forth in near synchronicity. There was no LIA in my town that I knew of who just, on his own, shared info and data that he had collected and ordered.

So I thank all of you who contribute to this forum--it is a tremendous resource.
